The Director of Admissions is responsible overseeing the Admissions and Marketing team. The Director if Admissions will ensure that the workflow is conducive to expediting appropriate admissions placements. He/she will work closing with marketing team to identify and develop key relationships and target markets to develop. The Director of Admissions is responsible for daily, monthly and ad hoc call center, admissions and marketing reports. It is critical that he/ she is consistently in contact with Billing and Collections to ensure appropriate payer mix. The Director of Admissions shall ensure that call center is actively monitored not only for quality assurance bit to ensure the highest ethical standards.The following are duties, responsibilities and leadership roles that the Director of Admissions shall provide for the organization: Adheres to the centerA?s philosophy. Oversees initial telephone screening of potential patients and referents to ensure that patients meet admission criteria. Oversees initial assessment of patient problems and needs and reports to clinical team in order to initiate treatment planning. Oversees prioritization of patient needs and issues related to patient orientation. Alerts clinical and other staff to any special problems or issues that may affect treatment; Alerts nursing staff of impending admissions Collaborates with Clinical and Case Management teams regarding program changes and implementation timelines. Corresponds with Patient Advocate and Performance Improvement Coordinator to ensure compliance in all areas. Trains staff to take phone calls of inquiry and effectively answer questions about the treatment program. Trains staff to provide information to patients and families in order to help them decide about treatment, prepare for admission, and what they can expect to encounter. Oversees admission process to ensure efficiency and accuracy, including reviewing documents with the patient so he/she is aware of rights and responsibilities and the nature of the various agreements that are being signed. Understand and apply the programA?s clinical philosophy and ensure all training and procedures align with that. Reports to include: quarterly Marketer days/revenue, monthly Quality Assurance Facility Data, regular reports monitoring ASAs/AMAs/Medical Discharges, TDs for facility improvement, Referral reports for marketers, Monthly Census Summary report, and any other reports requested. Review and approve insurance verifications. Review and approve clinical intakes to ensure appropriate for admission. Responsible to secure, review and obtain approval of medical records. Participate in employee coaching and reviews. Participate in overseeing the Marketing, Insurance and Alumni Departments Monitor Admissions Specialist (AS) phone presentations to increase their knowledge and improve skills. Organize the training to include: distribution of materials, scheduling trainers / speakers, determining venues, and logistics to ensure efficient training and delivery Hire, develop, and motivate staff.Graduation from high School or equivalent GED; BA preferred. Must have customer service, administrative skills and computer experience. Demonstrates a broad base of knowledge in addiction treatment. Sale or call center experience preferred. Demonstrates ability to clearly and succinctly communicate both verbally and in writing; can get messages across that have the desired effect. Demonstrates ability to remain calm under pressure; is not knocked off balance by frequent change, delays, or unexpected events. Demonstrates and active desire to drive for results; steadfastly pushes self and others; consistently meets and/or exceeds goals.
