Job Description:/h3:
Responsible for assisting designated machine operator(s) Maintenance and/ or Production team(s) in a variety of functions including, but not limited to, clean up, yard work, warehouse, quarry, production, maintenance, shipping and material handling. Performs any combination of tasks as directed, responsible for prestart checks and regular maintenance on plant mobile equipment utilizing preventive and predictive measures.
Essential Duties:
:Wear their P.P.E. and follow all plant safety policies.
:Understand and follow Lockout and Tag:out procedures.
:Safely operates equipment and proper filling out mobile equipment checklist such as front end loaders, skid steer loaders, haul trucks, vacuum trucks, sweeper, and forklifts and any other mobile equipment used and/or task trained within the plant.
:Clock in at punch clock no earlier than 7 minutes prior to start time and clock out no later than 7 minutes after end of shift.
:Return brooms, shovels and come:along to their storage area at the end of the shift.
:Makes routine plant equipment checks for proper operation.
:Make equipment selection :: determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
:Makes daily workplace inspections, pre:shift equipment and mobile equipment inspections.
:Sweeps, shovels, picking up and rakes debris while cleaning plant.
:Maintain adequate supply of tires in the tire hopper.
:May be required to work shifts to meet production needs.
:Assist production installing refractory lining for the kiln.
:Pick up debris around the plant and empty trash containers on a daily basis.
:Cleanup lunchroom (tables, microwave, fridge, floors, tables) on a daily basis.
:Performs other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
:Ability to return to work during non:business hours in emergency situations and to perform work on a scheduled stand:by assignment.
:Willingness to learn other plant job duties for vacancy replacement.
:Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and lifting up to 50 lbs or more.
The physical demands described must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:
1) Performing General Physical Activities :: Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials.

4) Monitor Processes, Materials, or Surroundings :: Monitoring and reviewing information from materials, events, or the environment, to detect or assess problems.
5) Repairing and Maintaining Mechanical Equipment :: Servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment that operate primarily on the basis of mechanical (not electronic) principles.
6) Identifying Objects, Actions, and Events :: Identifying information by categorizing, estimating, recognizing differences or similarities, and detecting changes in circumstances or events

:Static Strength :: The ability to exert maximum muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects.
:Trunk Strength :: The ability to use your abdominal and lower back muscles to support part of the body repeatedly or continuously over time without giving out or fatiguing.
:Explosive Strength :: The ability to use short bursts of muscle force to propel ones
